The 'Tulip' shape was introduced in October 1931 as a pretty, new design for tea ware, coffee sets, or fancies. The cups display a large tulip embossed on each side, while the handles are in the form of butterflies with the wings extended backwards. The clarity of the painting and the very dainty shapes are now regarded as characteristic of the period. The 'Tulip' design, registered no. 765828, was ordered by Queen Mary, and some examples are marked "As Supplied to H.M. the Queen."

The set is beautiful. However the teapot is smaller than expected. How do I remove the royal warrant stickers.. Both are near the rim of the cups.
I recently bought the Butterfly Tea Set, and I must say it has exceeded my expectations! The butterfly-shaped handles on the cups are absolutely adorable and add a touch of whimsy to my daily tea ritual. The set includes a beautiful teapot and matching cups and saucers, all with intricate butterfly designs. The quality of the porcelain is excellent, and it feels very sturdy. I love how it brightens up my kitchen and makes every tea break feel special. Highly recommend this set to anyone who loves beautiful tea sets!
